According to Ringside News, last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown underwent several last minute changes prior to airing, a common pattern for the blue-brand over the last few months.
Reports are that Universal champion Roman Reigns’ segments were slightly altered, as well as the finish of the Sami Zayn and Daniel Bryan Intercontinental title bout, which saw Zayn retain the belt after a countount victory. The original finish of the match is unknown, but the final result changed prior to airtime.
The report also notes how Chairman Vince McMahon didn’t arrive to the ThunderDome until roughly 12:30pm, with many expecting changes to be made to the script.
