It’s giving 2022 vibes — which is pretty exciting.

The Eagles have addressed most of the roster over the past two years, but the secondary has continued to struggle. Between injuries and young guys just not making that leap, the defense often found itself with little depth and completely unable to make stops on critical downs.

Howie Roseman and the team’s front office have worked hard this offseason to lock in almost every other position, and this was the year to rely on the NFL Draft for their cornerback additions. And, boy, did they!

With the Eagles already set on offense, they were able to get not only one, but two of the top four CB prospects in this year’s class. They first picked Quinyon Mitchell at No. 22 overall and then traded up to No. 40 to nab Cooper DeJean.

The general consensus seems to be that Howie Roseman might just be the luckiest GM in all the NFL to keep getting the guys he needs and the guys he wants.
