Race To Hull: Selby Safe

This week’s WST Classic is the final qualifying event in the race to make it to the Bonus Arena in Hull for one of the biggest events of the season, the Duelbits Tour Championship, which runs from March 27 to April 2.

LATEST UPDATE: 5pm Tuesday. Mark Selby’s place in the Duelbits Tour Championship is secure. The Leicester cueman has beaten Daniel Wells 4-1 to make the last 16 and leapfrog Ding Junhui on the one-year list. Gary Wilson, who beat David Grace 4-1 to reach the quarters, is now the only player who can knock Ding out of the top eight. He needs to make the final to qualify.

Only the elite top eight players on the one-year ranking list will make it to Hull. The top seven are safe: Mark Allen, Shaun Murphy, Ali Carter, Kyren Wilson, Ryan Day, Robert Milkins and Mark Selby
