The Seahawks addressed a serious need, and serious fans took note
If Mike Macdonald is making one thing clear in his first draft as head coach, it is that he values the trenches. Every NFL team needs some ferocity on the line, and it looks like Seattle found just that in former Uconn Huskies guard Christian Haynes. As you can see below, the decision for the Seattle Seahawks to pick an offensive lineman is a welcome move — for fans, analysts, and players alike. The consensus seems to be that the team got a steal in the third round, which is particularly positive since they had serious needs on the interior of the offensive line… but they didn’t have a second round pick. While they still have holes to address on both sides of the ball, we can breathe a little bit easier knowing that they added some competition where it was needed.
