Jermaine Burton gets love from Chad Johnson and TJ Houshmandzadeh

The Bengals attacked WR in Round 3 and snagged a potential game-breaker.

The Cincinnati Bengals addressed another position group that needed some reinforcements in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

With pick number 80, the Bengals selected Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton.

Burton has had some off-the-field issues that caused him to fall way down draft boards, but if a team can provide the right culture, the guy can flat-out play and contribute immediately.

The Bengals have built one of the best cultures in the NFL with head coach Zac Taylor and quarterback Joe Burrow. Cincinnati also has one of the best WR rooms in the league and a fantastic WR coach in Troy Walters.

With all that being said, I respect the Bengals for taking a chance on Burton, and it could be a high reward for years to come.

Bengals legends Chad Ochocinco and TJ Houshmandzadeh are just as excited about the pick!

Houshmandzadeh actually trained Burton leading up to the draft, so he knows the Bengals prospect as well as anyone.

“This pick means something to me. I have been training this kid for a long time and now he is being drafted by the Bengals,” said Houshmandzadeh.

“There is no better city, I am going to tell you now, there is no better city to start your career in than Cincinnati,” Ocho stated after the pick became official.
