It is night two of the 2024 NFL Draft from Detroit.
On night one, the New York Jets added Olu Fashanu, the player they hope will be their left tackle of the future. A trade down also netted the Jets a fourth round pick and swapped a sixth round pick for a fifth round pick. Those selections are scheduled for tomorrow, however, when rounds four through seven are scheduled.
Tonight’s festivities will be the second and third rounds. The Jets lack a second round pick. This year’s second rounder belongs to the Green Bay Packers to complete last year’s trade for Aaron Rodgers. The Jets do own their own third rounder at 72. However, there is plenty of buzz about the Jets potentially moving up. The team has three fourth round picks, a fifth rounder, a sixth rounder, and a seventh rounder as currency to facilitate a potential deal.
