Three players appear to be competing for two tackle positions this summer. The question is just which returning starter will Jordan Morgan displace, if any?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Green Bay Packers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

Following the 2024 NFL Draft, which saw the Packers spend their first-round pick on Arizona tackle Jordan Morgan, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur stated that left tackle is “naturally where you’d look” at Morgan playing at the next level. Here’s the problem, the Packers return all but their starting right guard (Jon Runyan Jr.) from their 2023 roster, meaning that if Morgan does play left tackle there would need to be some reshuffling to do.

On top of that, ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported before the draft that the Packers consider Zach Tom, their current right tackle, to be a Hall-of-Fame caliber center. You could argue, and I would, that center is the team’s weakest position on the offensive line right now, in terms of their returning starters. Josh Myers, a former second-round pick, is going into a contract year as the team’s projected top center — at least until a potential Tom move.

So maybe Rasheed Walker, 2023’s starting left tackle, ends up holding down his job this summer, which could push Morgan to right tackle, Tom to center and Myers to guard, where he’d presumably battle with 2023 third-round pick Sean Rhyan, long-time backup Royce Newman and rookie fifth-round pick Jacob Monk for playing time at right guard.

What do you think the offensive line looks like in Week 1? Our two questions this week revolve around the tackle position, as we ask you who you believe will win the starting jobs there, but go ahead and name the starting five you believe will suit up in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles in the comment section below.
