Bred Gilbert praised Zendaya’s athletic abilities during the premiere of the highly anticipated film Challengers in Los Angeles. Gilbert trained Zendaya and the other leads in the film for three months before filming.
Coco Gauff’s coach explained how all three Challengers protagonists have good skills, praising Zendaya’s athleticism in dance.
“They worked incredibly hard and it was a great pleasure to work with all three of them The actors have a lot of the same DNA as tennis players.
A lot of concentration, a lot of determination, to really turn what they’re doing into something on the screen.
All three of them have good skills. Mike was the only one who had some tennis experience, he played in high school. Zendaya has a lot of athleticism in dance,” explained Gilbert.

Zendaya was present at the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters. The actress who plays in the TV series Euphoria and in the Marvel’s Spider man saga, moved to Milan and Los Angeles to promote the film.
Interviewed by Fabio Fazio on Italian Canale 9 Che Tempo Che Fa, she told:
“It was wonderful to see Jannik Sinner live, truly a fantastic thing. The chair umpire’s mistake? Honestly, I didn’t see the ball go out by a few centimeters but it must be said that I’m really incompetent at tennis! And for me every tennis player is very good and fantastic.”

The film was banned for unaccompanied minors under 17 due to the presence of explicit scenes and content, in US. As mentioned above, to prepare for her role, Zendaya spent three months training with Gilbert.
“Tashi Duncan is a promising player in world tennis, who plays to seduce two tennis players who are friends of each other, Art and Patrick.
