In this PGA Tour event, designed as an alternate for players who do not meet the qualifications for Signature Events, the American concluded the moving day with a birdie on the 54th hole, securing a one-shot advantage over his closest pursuer heading into the final 18 holes.

Bryan, seeking his second victory on the American circuit, had an eventful Saturday that kept him on his toes. The Columbia native recorded seven birdies but also faced challenges in the form of bogeys, unlike the previous two rounds. Despite losing five strokes, Bryan maintained his lead with a third-round score of 70 (-2), bringing his total to -17. However, the significant advantage he had established in the first round was effectively nullified. Bryan now faces close competition from compatriot Kevin Tway, who had a strong showing on the day despite slowing down towards the end.
Tway started strong with three birdies and an eagle in the opening seven holes, adding two more birdies at the 10th and 12th before encountering a bogey at the 15th and failing to gain further ground. With a third-round score of -6, Tway climbed to 2nd place with a total of -16. On the par-72 layout of the Corales Golf Club in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, American Billy Horschel secured fifth place outright, trailing the leaders by just three strokes (total of -14 for the tournament).
