Would former Titans head coach make sense for Las Vegas?

While the Las Vegas Raiders coaching talk this week has revolved around interim head coach Antonio Pierce and Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, it doesn’t mean the team won’t explore or be connected to other candidates.

If fact, there already has been some connections of the Raiders and other candidates. In an interesting nugget this week, plugged in Sports Illustrated NFL reporter Albert Breer said the Raiders could end up hiring Vrabel, who was unexpectedly fired as the head coach of Tennessee Titans this week. The Athletic also mentioned the Raiders will show interest in Vrabel.

Vrabel will certainly be in demand. He is considered a strong head coach even though he had some struggles in Tennessee toward the end of his tenure.

Raiders’ owner Mark Davis is known to want to make a big swing and that’s why there has been so much speculation about Harbaugh. Vrabel wouldn’t necessarily move the needle as much as Harbaugh would, at least, publicly. But it would likely be applauded and respected inside the league.

What would your thoughts be about a pursuit of Vrabel by Las Vegas.
