The Eagles’ offensive coordinator is a candidate for multiple HC openings.

The Carolina Panthers are not the only team interested in hiring Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson as their next head coach.

The Tennessee Titans also requested to interview Johnson, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The Titans have an opening after surprisingly moving on from Mike Vrabel earlier this week.

As was the case with Jonathan Gannon, there’s clearly a disconnect between how Eagles fans view Johnson and how people in the NFL view him.

Some have suggested Johnson is only getting interviews because of Rooney Rule requirements, which ignores his accomplishments prior to the 2023 season. Johnson was getting a lot of offensive coordinator buzz around the NFL last year for his role in helping Jalen Hurts make a massive leap in 2022. Johnson previously oversaw the development of Dak Prescott and Kyle Trask at the college level.

Regardless, if you don’t want Johnson to be back as Eagles OC in 2024, you may get your wish considering the HC interest he’s garnering. The Eagles will be awarded two third-round draft picks (via Resolution JC-2A) if he’s hired away.
