With MSI 2024 just a few days away from starting, here’s what you need to know about the upcoming Event Pass.

MSI Pass 2024 – Empyean skins are back

Just like with every event, players can unlock additional rewards and accessories when purchasing the event pass. The majority of the players will be able to pick up free rewards by playing regularly. That said, if you want to earn extra tokens and the chance to unlock the Prestige Empyrean Kayle skin, you will have to put in some cash.

While the exact details and information haven’t been revealed yet, we can expect the event to be quite similar to the previous iterations. Get your RPs ready if you want to get a shot at the special rewards.

LoL MSI 2024 Event Start Date

The event is going to kick off with LoL Patch 14.9 on May 1, coinciding with the start of the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational, which takes place in Chengdu, China.

LoL Arena game mode returns alongside MSI

On top of the special event pass, Riot Games is looking to bring back the 2v2 game mode, Arena. According to a recent announcement by the devs, Riot is looking to bring new updates, including the chance to play with a total of 16 players (8 teams of 2), rather than the traditional 8-man lobbies.

New Arenas will also be added alongside new mechanics and gameplay. But the best news is that Riot will have the game mode available for the entire second ranked split, as it’s looking to test out whether Arena can become a permanent game mode like Summoner’s Rift and ARAM.

For this event, Riot is also going to be re-introducing Arena to the game. This time around, the mode is going to look and feel a bit different, with Riot making sure to keep it fresh and exciting. Instead, of just 4 teams of 2, we’re now going to be able to play with 16 players.
