Earlier today (May 3), Fightful’s Corey Brennan posted on X/Twitter that “NXT cuts are coming”. Now, their site and PWInsider are reporting a list of names from the WWE Developmental system who’ve been confirmed as having been released from their contracts.

The biggest name is Drew Gulak, who has been with WWE since 2016 and worked as an on-screen talent as well as behind-the-scenes. Gulak was recently written out of NXT storylines after Ronda Rousey shared a story about his pulling the draw string on her sweat pants as an example of WWE’s toxic culture under Vince McMahon. As of this writing PWInsider is reporting Gulak is among the cuts but Fightful has not confirmed. Both list these other nine names:

  • Darrell Mason
  • Vlad Pavlenko
  • Ezekiel Balogun
  • Kiyah Saint
  • Emma Diaz
  • Valentina Feroz
  • Keyshawn Leflore
  • Trey Bearhill
  • Julian Baldi

Of those names, another that had been a part of TV is Valentina Feroz. She and her tag partner Yulisa Leon were featured during NXT’s 2.0 era; Leon requested and was granted her release last year.

The others have been featured little if at all on NXT. Three — Baldi, Leflore and Diaz — were part of the John Cena-produced Next Gen docuseries on The Roku Channel.

Today’s releases follow a round of cuts to main roster and NXT talent last month.

More as we have it.

UPDATE: Wrestling Observer says they’ve confirmed all ten of the names above, and add another with significant service and television time: Boa. Signed after a 2016 tryout in Shanghai, Boa was a part of NXT’s 2020-2021 Tian Sha stable with the recently released Xia Li and Mei Ying (Wendy Choo).
