Coco Gauff’s rise has now been constant since 2022, passing through her success at the 2023 US Open.  The US is one of the youngest tennis players on the WTA Tour and wants to achieve even more prestigious results.

In 2022 she achieved her best result on clay with the final at the Roland Garros but now she wants to improve this result. Coco feels ready to challenge world number one and big Paris favorite Iga Swiatek.

This week the American is involved in the WTA tournament in Stuttgart, where in a few hours she will challenge Marta Kostyuk in the quarter-finals. In her first match in Stuttgart, Coco suffered a lot, she even went down 4-2 in the third and decisive set against number 134 Sachia Vickery but she managed to get through.

Certainly on clay together with Swiatek, Coco Gauff is among the main contenders for the Parisian title. The American thus dreams of winning the second Slam of her career.

“I’m not thinking about Paris yet, my goal now is to do well in Stuttgart and find the best possible sensations. It’s been two years since I won a title on clay, a surface that I really like and where I believe I can do very well.

I’m optimistic and I’d like to win here, in Madrid or even in Rome. I really believe I’m one of the favorites in every tournament I’m in now,” she said at teh press conference.

Gauff then went on to explain: “Winning the US Open was incredible, it was my dream since I was a child, now my goal is to win in Paris. France has been like a second home for me, since I was 10 years old I come here often and even two years ago I did well by reaching the final.”
