Field Yates had Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. among his favorite picks in the fifth round.

“Tracy is a fun player to study, as he was a wide receiver for four seasons at Iowa before transferring to Purdue and playing two years as a running back. That versatility could easily lead to early opportunities for the Giants, especially given the team’s thin backfield behind new starter Devin Singletary. Tracy ran for eight TDs last season.”

New York Giants: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU. Just because it’s obvious doesn’t make it wrong. Nabers was Brugler’s third-ranked player, and the Giants got him at No. 6. Nabers will immediately inject some explosiveness into a Giants offense that desperately needs it. His combination of confidence and potential hasn’t been seen in a New York Giants wide receiver since Odell Beckham Jr. Nabers should be adored by Giants fans as well as quarterback Daniel Jones.

All the Giants’ work on the QBs they didn’t draft could be looked at as a waste, but the team insist that is not the case.

New York Giants | Quarterback. Daniel Jones is coming off a torn ACL, and Drew Lock is Drew Lock. New York Giants fans can only hope that Jones will recapture his 2022 form, but that probably is wishful thinking as Jones has looked average at best for much of his career.

The Giants don’t have the cap space to make a splashy move, but they could easily create enough to add some needed depth. Among the name are running backs Matt Breida and Latavius Murray, offensive tackle Tyre Phillips, defensive tackle Calais Campbell and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon.

2024 NFL odds: Giants forecast among worst in league | New York Post

Post-NFL Draft, Big Blue is -650 at FanDuel Sportsbook to miss the playoffs, which are the fourth-worst odds in the league ahead of only the Broncos (-950), Panthers (-1300) and Patriots (-2000). Their current over/under win total is sitting at 6.5, which outpaces only the trio above, who are all at 5.5 wins.
