Vince McMahon is trying to restore his reputation with ‘a public relations puppet master’

Vince McMahon resigned from TKO Group Holdings and appears to be completely gone from pro wrestling following a sex trafficking lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant in January.

Earlier today, POST Wrestling’s John Pollock and Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston confirmed that McMahon has now hired the public relations firm Sitrick and Company, which specializes in crisis management for wealthy and powerful people.

“The powerful firm is led by Michael S. Sitrick, who has been referred to as ‘one of the most accomplished practitioners of the dark arts of public relations’ by Fortune magazine, and ‘a public relations puppet master who has pulled the strings behind some of the biggest stories in media’ in an excerpt from the L.A. Times.”

That description for Sitrick seems appropriate, as Vince will definitely need the dark arts on his side to restore his reputation. For what it’s worth, Sitrick says he’s working directly with Vince.

“Sitrick made clear to us that his team performed their own due diligence on the case before accepting McMahon as a client.

He noted he’s working directly with McMahon.”

While the financial arrangement between McMahon and Sitrick is unknown, the article cites a 2019 report that indicates the firm charged $1,100 per hour that year. Perhaps that fee explains why McMahon has cashed out such a huge amount of his TKO stock.
