The batters of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) illuminated the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Monday ( April 15) with a remarkable display, posting a record-breaking total of 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. This monumental achievement surpassed the previous record of 277/5, also held by SRH, established against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

1- Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (2024)

The record-setting match took place on April 15, 2024, at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, where the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clashed with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The combined total of both teams soared to an astonishing 549 runs. SRH set the tone with an imposing 287/3 in their allotted 20 overs. RCB, in a valiant pursuit, managed 262/7 but fell short by 25 runs, handing SRH a well-deserved victory.

2- Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians (2024)

This monumental clash, however, wasn’t the sole contributor to IPL’s history books. On March 27, 2024, at the Rajeev Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, SRH squared off against the Mumbai Indians (MI). The total runs amassed by both sides reached a formidable 523. MI posted a formidable 277/3 in the first innings, only to be outdone by SRH’s resilient bowling as MI succumbed to 246/5, suffering a 31-run defeat.

3- Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals (2010)

The echoes of high-scoring encounters reverberated even further back in IPL’s annals. A memorable match between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 3, 2010, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, yielded a combined total of 469 runs. CSK put up a commendable 246/5 in their 20 overs, a target RR fell short of, managing 223 runs and conceding victory by 23 runs to CSK.

4- Kings XI Punjab vs Kolkata Knight Riders (2018)

The electrifying atmosphere continued in matches like the clash between the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 12, 2018, at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The combined total reached 459 runs, with KKR setting a challenging target of 245/6. PBKS fought valiantly but could only muster 214/8, falling short by 31 runs.

5- Punjab Kings vs Lucknow Super Giants (2023)
