Christian Wilkins is a big investment, though
It’s difficult to buy that the Las Vegas Raiders have been cheap spenders this offseason knowing that they added one of the most sought-after (and expensive) free agents available this offseason in the form of defensive tackle Christian Wilkins.
The Raiders gave the former Miami Dolphins’ standout a four-year, $110 million contract with $82.750 million in guaranteed money.
Yet, according to a recent tweet by Over The Cap, the Raiders have been one of the lowest-spending teams in the NFL during the heavy-lifting portion of the offseason.
The Browns lead the NFL with $326M followed by the Eagles, 49ers, Texans (!), and Jaguars.
At the bottom are the Cowboys with $189M. The Chargers, Packers, Lions and Raiders are the other four at the bottom.

Things can change some and the Raiders have among the most remaining salary-cap room in the league. they can use it on adding new agents and extending their own players in addition to signing their draft class.
The truth is, the Raiders haven’t added a ton so far this offseason, but Wilkins is a great headliner to their spending plan.
