Matt Cardona announces new role in professional wrestling then screws Danhausen

on

He may be injured but that doesn’t mean he’s staying on the sidelines.

Matt Cardona is sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle, but that isn’t stopping him from making news on the professional wrestling scene. Cardona is always ready to cause a ruckus, especially when it involves screwing Danhausen.

Earlier in the week, Cardona explained his goals moving forward.

The comeback has officially begun… Had surgery 2 weeks ago…first day back in the gym today. The goal is simple. Either come back to never wrestle on the indies again or come back and completely change the landscape of independent wrestling. I’m already THE INDY GOD…but I want more. I don’t deserve more. I don’t believe anybody deserves anything. I NEED more! (Sorry not sorry for the nip slip)

Cardona didn’t take long to change the landscape of indie wrestling. He opened a recent GCW show with a State of the Broski Address for a major announcement at Rather You Than Me (May 3, 2024) in Tampa, FL. But first, Cardona ingratiated himself to the Tampa fatsos by explaining in layman’s terms that he tore his chest off the bone.

Cardona has an iron-clad GCW contract with creative control. He could have sat at home collecting checks, but that wouldn’t be fair to the hard-working locker room. Cardona loves GCW. His major announcement was his new role as general manager of Game Changer Wrestling.

Cardona used his newfound power during the main event. Blake Christian defended the GCW World Championship against Danhausen. Believe it or not, Danhausen actually won the title.

Danhausen was in control down the stretch. He took out his jar of teeth, filled Christian’s mouth with extra enamel, then blasted a big boot to the mush. Christian kicked out on the cover. The champ countered a GTS into a capture suplex. Missy Hyatt slid in a loaded Gucci handbag for Christian to use as a foreign object. Swing and a miss. Danhausen nailed a headbutt then clobbered Christian with the bag. 1, 2, 3, new champion! Fanhausens erupted with joy.

Not so fast, my friend.

Cardona interrupted the celebration. He sensed collusion. Cardona wasn’t going to have the Tampa Screwjob on his first night as general manager. He ordered the match to restart to determine a new winner fair and square. Christian immediately hammered Danhausen with the Gucci bag to win. The show closed with fans shouting, “Bullshit!”

The Tampa Screwjob just turned into the Tampa Screwjob Screwjob. That sounds on brand for the first night of Cardona in his new role with power.

What’s your take on Matt Cardona serving as general manager for GCW?
