Athena is in search of contenders for the ROH Women’s World Championship, and Nyla Rose stepped up to the plate. The Native Beast personally delivered a violent surprise to the Fallen Goddess.
Athena was away from ROH TV this week, however, she did air a video from her hometown wrestling gym with minions in training. Athena is tending to injuries; a broken nose, a dislocated kneecap, and a sprained big toe. As the champ was flapping her gums about carrying ROH with a steady diet of banging matches, Rose crept in from behind. “Surprise, bitch!” Rose hammered Athena and ran roughshod through the minions. The Native Beast finished her path of destruction by chokeslamming Athena through a wooden board.
That attack was certainly an effective way to demand attention from the champ. Rose is on a three-match winning streak in ROH with victories over Zoey Lynn, Vertvixen, and Alejandra Lion.
This feud is likely being set up for a PPV pay-off. The next ROH PPV has not been announced yet. Under the management of Tony Khan, ROH has held Supercard of Honor during WrestleMania weekend as the first PPV event of their yearly calendar.
