R-Truth’s first match in more than a year announced for Raw tonight

It didn’t generate a ton of headlines as there were a couple other Survivor Series returns that were pretty big deals. But last month former NWA Worlds Heavyweight champion and the greatest WWE 24/7 48/7 7/11 I-95 South European titleholder of all-time, R-Truth, returned to our screens.

Since coming back, Truth spent a lot of time trying to join The Judgement Day. Actually, in typical Truth form, he seemed to think he was already a member of Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh’s stable. He offered tips on clubhouse safety, insisted on clearly necessary television upgrades, and insisted they deal with the member of the group that nobody likes… Jackie D.

We liked it. But sadly last week Priest revealed that he didn’t. At least, he didn’t like it when Truth pointed out that Ripley leads Judgment Day, not Señor Money in the Bank. The beatdown was on — until The Creeds ran in to save him. And all he wanted to do was decorate the clubhouse for the holidays…

Well, per WWE.com, it was all leading to this: Truth vs. McDonagh in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight on Raw tonight (Dec. 18).

In addition to being a holiday tradition, the Christmas-themed no-disqualification match will also be Truth’s first since suffering a torn quad wrestling Grayson Waller on the Nov. 1, 2022 episode of NXT.

Should be fun! Then maybe Truth will declare for the Royal Rumble… unless Brock Lesnar is in it. Or his fear of ladders came back.

Anyway, join us in our live blog tonight to celebrate R-Truth’s return to the ring.
