The member of the New England Patriots’ wide receiver group took to Instagram live shortly after receiving the news he had been drafted 110th overall in the fourth round. Javon Baker, however, was not happy he remained on the board for that long.

“Took too f—ing long,” he said in a recorded version of the video shared on the platform formerly known as Twitter. “They got to pay.”

Baker, who was projected as a potential Day 2 selection but eventually slid into Round 4, entered the draft after a two-year stint at Central Florida. During that time, he appeared in 27 games for the Knights and caught 108 passes for 1,935 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also was named a first-team All-Big 12 selection as a senior in 2023.

Baker, who was invited to both the Senior Bowl and the Combine, had a pre-draft visit with the Patriots as well.
