The Panthers add some beef up front with their penultimate draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Carolina Panthers have selected Jaden Crumedy with the 200th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Crumedy spent a very long time at Mississippi State and will enter training camp as a 24 year old rookie. He was a five year starter for the Bulldogs and totaled 8.5 sacks and 16 tackles for a loss during his time there. He’s very large and strong, but he hasn’t shown the agility or elusiveness to be a productive pass rusher on the inside. However, he’s stout and has the strength to eat up blocks and disrupt running plays.

He’ll join a defensive tackle rotation that includes Pro Bowler Derrick Brown. He’ll have a chance to crack the roster as a rotational piece on the defensive line that can play in multiple spots on the interior.

The Panthers top remaining draft needs:

EDGE, C
