The Iowa defensive back received 43 percent of the vote in our initial poll this week.

Yesterday, we ran a poll asking you which player is most likely to be selected in the first round by the Green Bay Packers, based on realistic options. Obviously, the likes of Joe Alt of Notre Dame and Dallas Turner of Alabama aren’t expected to be available with the 25th overall pick, so we only included prospects who had a 10 percent chance of being on the board with the Packers’ top pick per ESPN’s Draft Day Predictor.

The runaway favorite in this process was Iowa cornerback Cooper DeJean, who received 1,033 of the total 2,408 votes (43 percent). Below is the full breakdown of the voting:

  • Iowa CB Cooper DeJean: 43 percent
  • Washington OL Troy Fautanu: 14 percent
  • Duke OL Graham Barton: 14 percent
  • Georgia OL Amarius Mims: 9 percent
  • Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry: 7 percent
  • UCLA EDGE Laiatu Latu: 4 percent
  • Oregon OL Jackson Powers-Johnson: 2 percent
  • Illinois DL JerZhan Newton: 2 percent
  • Penn State EDGE Chop Robinson: 2 percent
  • Clemson CB Nate Wiggins: 2 percent
  • Missouri EDGE Darius Robinson: 0 percent

The next top three vote-getters behind DeJean were all offensive linemen, but how much do these numbers change if DeJean is off the board? Would those who believe that DeJean would be the pick pivot to a different cornerback or do they think that the Hawkeye, who has the potential to play safety at the NFL level, is the only defensive back that the Packers would turn down an offensive lineman for?

Let’s find out!

Vote below and tell us who you think the Packers would pick in a DeJean-less scenario. We’ll continue to run these polls up until next week’s first round.
