Baker was selected 110th overall by the Patriots.

The New England Patriots were not done adding to their wide receiver group. After already picking Ja’Lynn Polk in the second round, they acquired UCF wideout Javon Baker in the fourth.

Baker adds an outside target and potential big-play threat to a New England offense in need of both.

Bernd Buchmasser: Drake Maye’s college teammate Devontez Walker was still on the board at No. 110, but the Patriots decided to go with Baker. The decision makes sense given that the 22-year-old is not quite as raw, but offers similar upside as a perimeter option capable of stretching the field. | A

Brian Hines: After taking wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk on Friday, New England double dips at the position and takes Baker with pick No. 110. Baker is a strong compliment to the rest of the Patriots receiver room as he can play along the outside and win downfield — as he averaged nearly 22.0 yards per catch last season. | A-

With Baker brought aboard, the Patriots now have 11 wide receivers under contract. Among those, only a handful — Baker, Lynn, DeMario Douglas, Kendrick Bourne — can be considered true locks to make the roster.
