The second round of the 2024 Chevron Championship, the first Major of the women’s season, concluded at The Woodlands, Texas, with a notable shift in leadership. South Korean Jin Hee Im and Thai player Atthaya Thitikul now share the top spot. Both the 25-year-old Im and the 21-year-old Thitikul posted impressive totals of -8, with Im recording a bogey-free round and Thitikul securing six birdies along with a bogey.

In close pursuit is Nelly Korda, whose consistent performance thus far places her at -7, maintaining her position as a formidable contender. South Korean Hae Ran Ryu trails closely behind by a single stroke. Notably, Korda rebounded after a double bogey on the 1st hole, regaining control of her game.

The group tied for fifth includes USA’s Lauren Coughlin, who held the lead after the first day. Joining her at -5 are Japanese player Minami Katsu, Sweden’s Maja Stark, China’s Weiwei Zhang (who started from the 105th position), and South Korea’s Shinsil Bang.
