How to change your name in CoD Mobile?

If you’ve chosen a boring username while creating your CoD Mobile account in a rush, then you might want to change your name to grab the attention of other players. Thankfully, Activision gives you the option to modify your CoD Mobile anytime you want, but as always, you will need to follow a certain procedure and meet certain conditions to do so.

So, without any further delay, here’s how you can change your name in COD Mobile and stand apart from the crowd.

How to change your CoD Mobile name?

The only way to change your COD Mobile name is by purchasing the Rename Card, which costs 500 COD points (CP). Here is a detailed breakdown of the steps:

1. Launch CoD Mobile and login to your account.
2. Tap your Name at top of the main screen.
3. Tap the second tab to open your Player Profile.
4. Tap the Edit icon at the end of your Name.
5. Enter your new Name and then tap Change.
6. If you don’t have a Name Changing Card/Rename Card, you will be prompted to purchase one.

Please note: If your name was changed by Activision and you received a Rename Card, you’ll still need to wait three days before you can change your name. On top of that, the maximum character limit is 14 characters and you can’t use any offensive words.

Some players have also figured out an alternative way through which you can change your name without spending a dime. All you need to do is connect your existing Call of Duty account with Facebook through the settings menu.

Once you do that, uninstall the game from your device and reinstall it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once downloaded, you will be asked to sign in to your CoD Mobile account. At this point, use the same Facebook account that you connected earlier. Once you follow these steps, the game will ask you to create a new name without having a rename card in your inventory.

However, we personally don’t recommend this method as there’s a risk of progress loss when you re-install the game. So, it’s always best to go with the official method or just stick to your old username if you don’t have a few bucks to spare.
