…future Bear, Rome Odunze?
Last month, Chicago Bears receiver Keenan Allen made headlines when he showed up at USC’s Pro Day to watch quarterback Caleb Williams throw, but apparently, it wasn’t the only time Allen was present for a Williams workout.
According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Williams recently threw some balls to Allen, his Chicago teammate DJ Moore, and expected first-round draft pick, Washington’s Rome Odunze.
Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze didn’t just take the same flight to Detroit for the draft: I’m told Odunze recently caught balls from Williams … who also was throwing with #Bears WRs Keenan Allen and D.J. Moore.

Odunze has been a popular target of the Bears in mock drafts all offseason with the ninth overall pick, and he and Williams flew into Detroit earlier today for the NFL Draft on the same flight.
These two obviously know the buzz surrounding a potential pairing in the Windy City, but while Williams to Chicago is all but done, we need to see how the board falls before general manager Ryan Poles finds himself on the clock at nine.
Like many Bears fans, I’m 100% on board with Odunze being the pick, and their recent interactions make me want it more.
I’m actually the pilot this morning. Don’t worry I’ll get Caleb to Detroit SAFELY!#nosoulshaveperished https://t.co/3P9OCV7py4
