After a decisive 2-0 victory over Tundra Esports, BetBoom Team are the first the reach the grand finals of the ESL One Birmingham Major.

BetBoom going from strength to strength

If we all just choose to forget about the results at Elite League, BetBoom are a team that have been on the verge of greatness already this year. Having placed 3rd at the BetBoom Dacha and 2nd at DreamLeague season 22, they seem on track to take their first Major win.

They’ve faced some incredibly tough teams so far. Having taken out OG and now Tundra in their upper bracket run, they seem unstoppable.

Perhaps it was Topson’s mid Pugna. Perhaps it was Brewmaster never coming online. But game 2 was the least competitive we’ve seen on the main stage so far this tournament. In a way, it’s almost a relief to see a team like Tundra face the same kind of treatment as a standard pub in this patch.

Who is in the grand finals of ESL One Birmingham Major?

If TorontoTokyo had his way, he’d be facing XinQ and Xtreme Gaming in the grand finals. But after they were eliminated by G2.IG yesterday, it wasn’t to be. So who will play in the grand finals of ESL One Birmingham Major?

Still to play are OG and Team Falcons later today. This is a tough series to call. If we’re going off basic stats from this year, it should be ez for Falcons. But OG have played some of the Dota we’ve seen from them in recent months. With Ari’s plot armor, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them head into the next round.

The winner will get their chance against Tundra before facing BetBoom as the final boss in the grand finals.

We really wouldn’t be surprised to see a repeat of this series in the grand finals. Game 2 aside, Tundra have been arguably the most formidable team of the whole Birmingham Major.

Whatever the outcome, fans have seen some truly amazing games and that surely isn’t about to stop.
