How are you enjoying Birmingham so far?

TorontoTokyo: To be honest, I was not anywhere. I just arrived from the airport and just started playing Dota. That’s it.

Sophie: How long have you guys been here?

TorontoTokyo: Yeah, when tournament started, like, I don’t remember. It’s on the 22nd. Maybe it’s been a week, maybe less. A little bit. Something like that.

Sophie: And how are you finding the British food?

TorontoTokyo: I wouldn’t say it’s like a special. I didn’t try to be honest. Anything. I’m just ordering. I’m ordering, like, Asian cuisine.

Sophie: What’s your favourite? What’s your go to?

TorontoTokyo: Just rice with chicken.

Sophie: Keep it simple then. OK, so to talk a little bit about the tournament so far, you’ve had a really strong performance.

How has your preparation been for for this Major in particular?

TorontoTokyo: The preparation was, like the Elite League tournament.

We just was, like, training for this tournament. And also we played, like, a few days of scrims before this tournament and played a lot of pubs.

Sophie: OK, cool. So I guess you just had Miero joining in January, right? You’ve done DreamLeague with him, you’ve done BetBoom Dacha and now Elite League.

How is he fitting into the team?

TorontoTokyo: Yeah, it’s like. I would say it’s easy now in team, everything is easy.

Sophie: OK, cool and do you guys do any team bonding? Do you do bootcamps?

TorontoTokyo: Yeah, we do bootcamps before tournaments and team bonding.

Like, we also want to go paintball soon. Again. We enjoyed it in BetBoom Dacha. And also, we are eating together sometimes we are going to the restaurants. But not so much in Birmingham.

Sophie: I guess you’ve not really had the time.

TorontoTokyo: We will go today somewhere. I hope it will be a nice place.

Sophie: Okay, so I guess you’re already guaranteed a top three spot at this major, if that’s correct.

If you could choose a grand finals, who would you pick and why?

TorontoTokyo: Would be really fun to play against Xtreme.

Sophie: OK, why Xtreme?

TorontoTokyo: Because I like XinQ.

Sophie: OK, I just had a couple of questions about, like, the meta for this tournament. We’ve got a huge amount of uncontested heroes.

So how is that affecting your drafting process? Are you sticking with comfort heroes or being more adventurous?

TorontoTokyo: We just, before this tournament, we played some scrims and now we understand what hero we want to pick and we are picking. So we are picking our comfort heroes here.

Sophie: OK, because I was looking at your drafts and you picked, you’ve got quite a big hero that you’ve played so far.

Which hero would be like your number one go to comfort?

TorontoTokyo: Yeah, of course I would play Chen. I love this hero. I enjoy when I’m playing it.

Sophie: You like a zoo hero?

TorontoTokyo: I wouldn’t say like a zoo here, just Chen.
