30 Major Orgs Join Esports World Cup Clubs roster

The Esports World Cup is marking a major expansion this year, with a much bigger prize pool and format. Compared to past efforts, 2024’s Esports World Cup truly feels like it’s representing the whole of competitive gaming. That’s even more so with this week’s news of the Esports World Cup Clubs. A number of the biggest teams in esports have signed up for the program.

The Esports World Cup 2024 will be a tournament with events across all the different games featured in esports. As well as better presenting the type of games played in esports, this event is bringing existing esports orgs into its Esports World Cup Foundation Club Support Program. Today, they’ve announced 30 teams that will form this program. They’ll all benefit from investment to expand their reach worldwide in competitive gaming.

The 30 Esports World Cup Clubs Joining the program

The program launching for the World Cup will see a number of major orgs getting involved in the World Cup’s program. Rather than competing for a share of the prize pool, they’ll be eligible for extra funding. These are the clubs announced so far:

  • Weibo Gaming

Those are the teams taking part, but what exactly will the program be? It’s an initiative being launched to promote the clubs taking part in the Esports World Cup. It’s hoping to create infrastructure to expand the games these orgs compete in. Investing to see them compete in more titles, with more jobs, and to support a growing number of athletes in the esports industry. All of these clubs will be eligible for funding to help expand their horizons in the world of esports.

This program includes quite a few of the biggest orgs. The investment into new areas of esports will more opportunities for everyone in competitive gaming in the future.
