The Titans added cornerback depth in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans selected Louisville cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. with the No. 146 overall selection in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Titans had previously hosted Brownlee Jr. on a pre-draft visit in Nashville.

The Titans also met with Brownlee Jr. at the Senior Bowl, meaning his visit to Nashville was his second meeting with the Titans. Brownlee Jr. was competitive in Mobile. The former Florida State transfer totaled 21 pass breakups and three interceptions in two campaigns at Louisville.

Brownlee Jr. will add terrific depth to a cornerback room that now includes Chido Awuzie, L’Jarius Sneed, and Roger McCreary. I expect Brownlee Jr. to immediately push Tre Avery and Eric Garror for CB4 duties. Brownlee Jr. possesses inside-outside versatility. He’ll play a role for the Titans this season.

Brownlee Jr. posted just average numbers at the NFL Combine, but he’s extremely physical, versatile, scrappy, and competitive. Brownlee Jr. ran the 40 in a respectable 4.51 seconds. Brownlee Jr. also leaped a 31 inch vertical and 9-foot-10 broad, displaying below-average lower-body explosion.
