Raiders have struggled to retain their first round picks

The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a draft where they landed an elite tight end in the first round. Brock Bowers was a highly touted coming out of Georgia and should help elevate the Raiders offense.

However, Raider Nation has heard this all before. Since 2018, the Raiders have had nine first-round picks. The only ones on the roster are Kolton Miller and recently drafted Tyree Wilson. It has led to the Raiders struggling to get over the top as genuine playoff contenders.

According to Jason from Over The Cap, the Raiders have had one of the worst rates in the NFL since 2018. Las Vegas has picked up a deficient 14.3% of its options, tied for fourth-lowest in the NFL. The only positive is that they are not last, which you figured they would be.

It is Tom Telesco’s job to turn this around, and he started with a player who is expected to be a star. Hopefully, he can change around the awful aura around the Raiders of successful first-round picks.
