Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Wrestling Observer says Rhea Ripley’s injury is to her AC joint and she could be gone for upwards of three months. They also say it happened during the brawl with Liv Morgan on Raw.
  • Meanwhile, PW Insider says the injury occurred when Morgan sent her into a wall. They add there is no confirmed recovery time internally at WWE and it will all depend on whether or not she needs surgery.
  • The idea behind Cody Rhodes’ promo on Raw this week, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, was to convey that he’s moving over to SmackDown now and this was a way to endorse Jey Uso before he does so.
  • Randy Orton vs. Solo Sikoa is scheduled to headline this weekend’s house shows, per the Observer. That could be an indicator of near future plans for The Bloodline.
  • For whatever it’s worth, Corey Graves told the Gunz Show that he believes Jake Paul is WWE bound at some point.
  • Bodyslam.net says The Motor City Machine Guns are finalizing deals with AEW and while nothing is imminent the decision to sign there has been made.
