The fanbase is in high support of the Ravens’ first-round selection.

On Thursday, the Baltimore Ravens drafted Clemson CB Nate Wiggins with the No. 30 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Promptly following, Baltimore Beatdown polled Ravens fans, asking them to grade the pick.

It’s safe to say Ravens fans are wildly supportive, with 88% of fans giving the pick an ‘A’ or ‘B’ grade.

The 48% ‘A’ grade is a minor decline from the 2023 selection of wide receiver Zay Flowers, who earned a 65%. However, the combined ‘A’ and ‘B’ total for Wiggins was only two percent less.

The contingent of fans disagreeing with the pick remained the same as 2023, with a total of three percent of fans giving the Ravens’ first-round pick a ‘D’ or ‘F.’

Nonetheless, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta and those in the war room were incredibly high on Wiggins, even declining eight possible trade scenarios with their No. 30 pick.

“We’re very, very excited to draft Nate Wiggins. In my opinion, [he’s] the best cover corner in the Draft. [He’s] highly athletic [and has] fantastic feet. Really, in our opinion, [he’s] a guy that can go into being a true shutdown-type corner. [We’re] ecstatic that he fell to us,” DeCosta said.
