LVL UP Expo is a huge tournament, rounding off a big April for competitive fighting games. We’re expecting tournaments for most of the biggest titles. LVL UP EXPO 2024 isn’t just a Smash tournament, it’s a cross-fighting game event with a lot to look forward to. What’s featured at LVL UP EXPO and what can we expect?

LVL UP EXPO 2024 – Games, Format, and More
LVL UP EXPO 2024 is one of the weekend’s biggest fighting game events. We’re going to see tournaments across titles, with most of the major hitters represented including games like Super Smash Bros and Street Fighter 6. There are also some smaller titles represented here too.
The entire event is taking place in Las Vegas, which is becoming something of a home for competitive fighting game events between this and other major tournaments. (Well, that and gambling.) The event’s taking place over April 26-28th. There are quite a few different games here, but they all have the same format.
Things start in a pools round and then we get a bracket of just the best players. What are all of the titles being featured at LVL UP EXPO 2024?
LVL UP EXPO 2024 Tournaments
- Smash Bros Ultimate – $10,000 Prize Pool Singles, $710 Doubles
- Tekken 7 – $2,000 prize Pool
- Guilty Gear Strive – $1,000
- Street Fighter 6 – $500
- FighterZ – $500
- DNF Duel – $500
As you can probably tell, Smash Bros esports is still the focus of LVL UP Expo 2024. It’s far from the full story though. There are now tons of other tournaments available here. Including major events with new fighters like SF. Plus an outing for DNF Duel, which is a lesser-seen fighter from Arc these days.
Smash Ultimate
The big event at LVL UP EXPO is Smash Ultimate, so what can we expect here? There are quite a few of the best Smash Bros players turning up here. There are major names like Sonix and Tweeks. However, MKLeo is also attending and a comeback for one of Smash’s best-ever performers is always a possibility. Then, we’ve got players like Light, Cosmos, Chase, and more all turning up.
Smash at LVL UP EXPO 2024 is going to be an interesting look at how Ultimate’s meta is sitting right now. As we move into yet another year of competitive Ultimate, we’re seeing more creative players and character picks become a bigger and bigger part of the game’s competitive spirit.
