We sat down and ranked the top five jersey combinations in Jacksonville Jaguars history.

Early Monday morning, the Jacksonville Jaguars revealed some pretty amazing news.

They shared a teaser video essentially confirming the team will be wearing throwback jerseys at some point during the 2024-25 NFL season.

I’d imagine the team will use them similar to how the Philadelphia Eagles wore their throwback Kelly Green jerseys in two home games last season.

With this news, and this being a power rankings column, I thought it’d be a good idea to go back through the team’s uniform history and rank the top five Jaguars jerseys since 1995.

No. 5 — 2013-2017 home uniforms

I believe this jersey was the first under Shad Khan’s ownership of the Jaguars, and it felt as if the team was turning a new leaf into the current trend of NFL uniforms. There was a lot of pushback with the coloring of the helmets, as it seemed lazy and unoriginal, but this logo is clean and pristine. It feels simple but still intricate at the same time. This uniform certainly represented the new era of Jaguars football under Khan.

No. 4 — 2012 road uniforms

Personally, I love the all-white look with the black helmet. Something about it feels so sleek — it seems like it would make you faster running down the field. The other thing I love about an all-white uniform is the grass and mud stains that appear. I love a jersey that shows some battle scars, and since football is such a physical sport, we should see the evidence of that on the jersey after the game.

No. 3 — 2004-2008 alternate uniforms

As much as I love an all-white jersey, the all-black jersey is tough to beat. Especially at night, it’s so intimidating for opposing teams. Something that stands out on this jersey is the running jaguar on the side of the shoulders. That signature logo is expected to come back this year.

No. 2 — 1993-1994 unused uniforms

I’m sure there will be lots of backlash for putting a jersey at no. 2 that the players never actually wore — but boy do I love these. I think they positively encompass what the Jaguars were as a franchise to start. They are weird and unique, just like bringing a major NFL franchise to a city like Jacksonville, and yet it works. Maybe the Jaguars could use these unreleased jerseys as another alternate in the team’s future.

No. 1 — 2004-2008 home uniforms

These jerseys are most linked to what the team could be bringing back this year. The teal tops with the black pants brings back so many amazing memories. This classic combo, capped with the old Jaguars logo on the helmet and the running cats on the side of the jersey, truly brings this uniform together.
