Is Kratos Coming Back to Fortntie in C5 S2?

The new season of Fortnite has embraced the world of Mythology. The map is crawling with Greek gods like Zeus and Ares. However, before the season started a particular gaming skin was rumoured to be making a return to Fortnite; Kratos. When is Kratos coming back to Fortnite?

Whenever Epic hosts a collaboration in Fortnite, the skins are pretty exciting. However, while some crossovers seem to be back once a month, others just kind of disappear. Street Fighter, Halo, and more featured one or twice then went back into the vault. Another of these who hasn’t been seen in a decent amount of time is the Kratos Fortnite skin.

The God of War was rumoured to be making a comeback this season, at least according to recent Fortnite leaks. Are these trustworthy leaks and when can we expect to see Kratos coming back to Fortnite?

Is Kratos Coming Back?

Before this current season started, the theme of gods was pretty widely known. Along with the obvious synergy, some leakers had other reasons to think the Kratos Fortnite skin was coming back. The skin received some minor alterations to his shop configuration seemingly implying he was being fixed up to reappear. However, a few weeks into the season and he’s nowhere to be found.

This specific Fortnite leak was that Kratos was coming back soon, with a new skin for another character from God of War. The reboot has received a sequel and now expansive DLC all without Kratos coming back to the item shop. The leakers seemed pretty set he was making a return, and the changes in-game seemed to back this up. So when will Kratos come back?

When Will Kratos Come Back to Fortnite?

Trying to pin down when a skin releases is always tricky. Epic doesn’t exactly have a release schedule for these things like when Fortnite seasons end. However, we can make some educated guesses.

If he is coming back, this season would make considerably more sense. He just fits the theme, weapons, and everyone else a lot more. However, we’re in the midst of a Midas event and Easter Fortnite skins have just popped up. Since these be around for another week or so, we probably won’t see another new collab in this time.

After that, we have a bit of a gap between major happenings for Fortnite. We’re expecting the Avatar items and Mythic to appear in. a few weeks. Plus, there is the annual Star Wars return in the beginning of May. This really puts the next few weeks as the best time for the Kratos skin to return to Fortnite.

That’s when we’d expect to see Kratos back, if he is coming back. Epic doesn’t follow much logic with their skin releases though. If he shows back up it really could be at any time! We won’t know until he pops back up in the item shop one day at midnight.
