On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite from Charlotte, star and VP Cody Rhodes announced to the wrestling universe that if he loses to Chris Jericho at Saturday’s Full Gear pay per view, he will never challenge for the AEW world championship again. The American Nightmare would go on to deliver a passionate promo honoring his family, claiming that he’s worked his entire life for this moment, and plans on giving Jericho the fight of his life. He also teases a future showdown between The Elite and The Inner Circle down the line.
