As reported earlier, WWE ran a storyline that involved Smackdown employees getting seriously hurt due to what is perceived as a DUI. The implication was that Jeff Hardy was behind the wheel and wasn’t sober, however, the end of the show revealed that it was most likely all a set-up by Sheamus. The angle plays off the real-life demons from Hardy’s past.
While Matt and Reby Hardy weren’t exactly thrilled with the angle, CM Punk managed to find the humor in the situation.

A Twitter follower pointed out that the police officer was portrayed by indie wrestler “Marvelous” Michael Stevens and CM Punk jokingly says he deserves a Slammy award for his acting.
