“I think there should be a longer break at the end of the season but I also think that sometimes players are a bit hypocritical when they talk about the tennis calendar. They often say that the tennis season is too long but then they fly all over the world to perform, and that’s their choice.
But it just seems hypocritical because they don’t have to go. And no one is forced to play all the tournaments on the Tour. No one is forced to play here in Dubai for example. Obviously this could hurt their ranking, but they can choose not to play some events.”
While three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray is struggling enormously to win matches on the court, he is very busy talking about tennis.

Murray calls players a bit hypocrites: here his words
The echo of his appeal for an ATP Master 1000 in South America has not yet died down that Murray, in conversation with the website The National News, also talked about the tennis players’ calendar and the performances, explaining that in his opinion tennis players are sometimes a a little hypocritical.
Murray in his reflection on tennis programming states that there would be a need for greater balance given that tennis players ask for a shorter season but then have no problem flying everywhere accumulating tiredness to play rich performances.
“I don’t want to ban exhibitions but players should become more selective. They are the best players in the world who can do exhibitions, where they earn a lot of money, but the other slightly lower level players who obviously don’t have these opportunities it is logical that they want more tournaments, because it’s an opportunity for them to make more money. So there has to be some balance in this whole situation,” explained Murray.
