250 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2024 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS

Qualifying has begun at the 2024 Daytona Supercross. Haiden Deegan is looking to continue the momentum he had gained in Arlington last weekend but with possible weather coming into play, it can be anyone’s race. Max Anstie comes into Daytona as the points leader and will be pushing hard to maintain the position. Pierce Brown only trails Max Anstie by four points and Daxton Bennick trails by six so riders will be trying hard to close the gap into the lead. It all begins in qualifying. 2024 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS // FULL COVERAGE

250 SESSION 1 GROUP A

Tom Vialle is looking very comfortable on the deep wet track in Daytona. Something we see often with the MXGP riders.

Riders hit the track that has practically been destroyed from the previous group qualifying sessions. Rain has started in Daytona and the track is deteriorating quickly. Ruts line every section with a few corners so deep that the riders are dragging their pegs through. The majority of the riders are rolling their first lap whereas at other events they would attempt to get a quick time from the very start. Tom Vialle was the first rider to grab the pole position within the first few laps with a 1:32.9 lap time, followed by Cameron McAdoo and Chance Hymas. After a few laps, Daxton Bennick was the first rider to break under the 1:30 lap time followed quickly by Cameron McAdoo. With about three minutes left in the practice, Haiden Deegan lost traction up the face of one of the larger triples. The bike pitched sideways and he ejected from the bike, jumping the entirety of the triple without the bike. He would eventually remount and head back to the pits. Giving the thumbs up showing that he is alright. However back on the track it was Daxton Bennick would close the session on top.
