450 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2024 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS

Coming into the eighth round of the 2024 Supercross season, riders hit the track for their qualifying sessions. Jett Lawrence leads Cooper Webb in the points standings by three. Riders like Chase Sexton and Aaron Plessinger are not out of it either as they have an opportunity today to close in on the leaders. However, Eli Tomac has been all the talk coming into this weekend as he has won Daytona seven times and would like to add an eighth time to the list. With possible rain on the horizon, it can be anyone’s race. For full updates be sure to read below.

2024 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS // FULL COVERAGE

450 SESSION 1 GROUP A

Eli Tomac was second fastest in the first qualifying session.

At the start of the 450 group A session it was Cooper Webb who was able to grab the early fast time followed by Barcia and Tomac. Adam Cianciarulo was also quick at the start of the session following his few-week hiatus. The track is extremely deep making it very difficult for riders to put in two consistent laps in a row. A few minutes in, Roczen was able to grab the top spot only to almost instantly be overcome by Eli Tomac with a 1:27 lap time. Though the track is tough these riders are really opening up some of the larger rhythm sections. Cooper Webb was able to get a fast consistent lap in where he grabbed a 1:26 lap time and put himself on top. He would maintain the fastest lap throughout the remainder of the session.

Jett Lawrence was fifth in the session with a 1:28 lap time.
