Some NFL Draft sickos will tell you that Day 3 of the draft is the best day of the weekend. I’m not here to tell you they’re wrong. It’s an opinion. Not one that I happen to share, but I get the intrigue.
This is where NFL general manager hope to make a name for themselves. If you can find yourself an Amon-Ra St. Brown in the fourth round of the draft, it’ll give you and your scouting department some serious brownie points that you could parlay into a few extra years on your new contract.
And if you’re just an armchair scout, this is when your favorite sleepers come into play. It’s your opportunity to pound the table for “your guy,” and act accordingly when they get drafted earlier/later than you expected.
Regardless, it should be an active day for the Detroit Lions, who currently have four picks scheduled for the day:
- Round 5, Pick 29 (164 overall)
- Round 6, Pick 25 (201 overall)
- Round 6, Pick 29 (205 overall)
- Round 7, Pick 29 (249 overall)
