While the final score says that the Chicago Bears scored 17 points versus the Cleveland Browns, fans know that the defense really just gave up 3 points (7 if you want to score it a little differently).

The Bears first score came on a four-play, one-yard drive. It is fair to say that the Browns defense could have held Chicago to a field goal but that is very nitpicking after Cleveland’s offense turned the ball over on the second play.

The Bears second score came on a pick-6 interception by their defense. Chicago’s final score, a field goal, came after the Browns defense gave up a nine-play 47-yard drive.

In all, Cleveland’s defense gave up just 236 yards and just one drive over 50 yards in Week 15. While there were a lot of players who deserved credit, LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah really stood out.

So much so that NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger gave JOK the highlight treatment this week:

“Baldy” was excited to share those highlights for sure: “Jump cut, bam.” “…he’s a cobra, and he is.” “It’s whoa-a Koramoah, that is what he is.”

Owusu-Koramoah led the Browns with six tackles to go along with a sack, two tackles for loss, two pass deflections and an interception.

JOK has turned into the player Cleveland fans had hoped he would when he was drafted in the second round out of Notre Dame. The young linebacker is ascending with the best yet to come.

Are you surprised by JOK’s all-around game this year? What did you think about the smaller, speedy linebacker when the Browns drafted him and has this year changed anything?
