Neil Robertson, Matthew Selt and Xiao Guodong share top spot of Group 5 at BetVictor Championship League Snooker after day one at the Morningside Arena, Leicester live on broadcasters worldwide including on Matchroom.Live and Viaplay.
Selt scored wins over David Gilbert, Noppon Saengkham and Robert Milkins, only conceding one frame in the process to set the early pace. Both Xiao and Robertson also put three wins on the board.
Robertson scored a comfortable 3-0 win over Milkins then saw off Gilbert by the same scoreline. The Australian completed his day with a 3-2 triumph over John Higgins. Xiao beat Robertson 3-1 then enjoyed a 3-1 success against Higgins with a top break of 131. He later edged out Saengkham 3-2.
BetVictor Championship League Snooker Invitational sees each of the seven players faces each other once in the round-robin group stage, after which the top four players in the league table progress to the group play-offs. The eventual group champion advances to February’s Winners’ Group.
Action continues on Wednesday from 11am with the conclusion of Group 5.
