Tony Khan reinstates Jack Perry, then gets taken out by The Elite

AEW’s X

The first episode of Dynamite after AEW’s Dynasty PPV opened with The Elite arriving at Jacksonville’s Daily’s Place. After the new AEW World Tag champions The Young Bucks & Continental titleholder Kazuchika Okada exited one SUV, another pulled up. That carried the man who ensured EVPs Matthew & Nicholas Jackson became the company’s first three-time Tag champs — Scapegoat Jack Perry.

Security attempted to stop Perry from entering the building, which made sense seeing as as far as we know he’s been suspended since his backstage scuffle with CM Punk at All In: London last August (he also tore up his AEW contract when he debuted for New Japan Pro-Wrestling back in January). But The Bucks overruled the security team.

Later we saw The Elite leading the former Jungle Boy into AEW owner, president & head of creative Tony Khan’s office.

When the quartet left the audience, none of them would talk to Alex Marvez… except for Matthew. He told the interviewer and the world that Khan agreed to meet with Perry in the ring later tonight!

That segment closed the show, with the Scapegoat entering to an “Oh, Cry Me A River” chant in reference to the All In pre-show spot that led to his confrontation with Punk at Wembley Stadium. He told the Florida faithful he’d had some of the best nights of his life at Daily’s Place, then called for TK while getting a “We Want Scapegoat” chant.

With his boss in the ring, Jack put over AEW’s accomplishments. He said all he’s every wanted was what’s best for the company, then asked Khan to reinstate him so they could go and continue to change the world together. Tony shook his hand and pulled the Scapegoat in for a hug, but smirked at the camera over TK’s shoulder.

As they were celebrating his homecoming, Perry clocked Khan! That brought out Okada and The Bucks, who teased hitting TK with an EVP Trigger… until The Rainmaker called for the move the Jacksons used to call the Meltzer Driver, but in February renamed to the Tony Khan Driver.

Which is what they literally used it to do.

As officials checked on TK, The Elite celebrated and vowed to keep changing the world. A group of babyfaces came to the ring to check on their boss, bringing along Khan’s dad Shahid.

The Jacksonville Jaguars owner did his best to look concerned, as the wrestling world has a crazy new AEW angle to debate.

Let that debate begin in the comments, and get complete results and coverage of everything on the April 24 Dynasty fallout edition of AEW Dynamite here.
