TNA is hot off the Rebellion PPV, and their next special event is around the corner on May 3. That gives a two-week build for Under Siege in Albany, NY. TNA announced matches for the world champions in the men’s division and the Knockouts division, but neither will be defending their titles.

Moose retained the TNA World Championship over Nic Nemeth at Rebellion, and Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards retained tag team gold against Mike Bailey & Trent Seven. Apparently, business wasn’t finished between those rivals. TNA announced The System versus Nemeth & Speedball Mountain for Under Siege. That matchup was jimmied lickety-split for Matt Hardy to replace Nemeth after the Wanted Man suffered a neck injury at the hands of Moose.

Jordynne Grace kept her precious Knockouts Championship out of the clutches of Steph De Lander at the PPV in a wild match with involvement from the Good Hands, Big Kon, PCO, and the surprise return of Sami Callihan. SDL and Kon wanted to continue the fight, so a tag match was proposed against the Juggernaut and the French-Canadian Frankenstein at Under Siege.

Those two matches occupy TNA’s top champions, and neither are defending their titles.

TNA also announced three more matches for Under Siege.

Alexander Hammerstone took the loss to Josh Alexander in Last Man Standing, and he was none too happy. Neither was Jake Something after failing against Mustafa Ali for the X-Division Championship. The two beefers slapped meat, and Santino Marella booked them for a match at Under Siege. Also of note in this scene, keep your eyes focused on the Rascalz stuffing the ballot box in the background.

Ali decided to determine his next X-Division challenger at the ballot box. The locker room would vote for his opponent at Under Siege. The results came back with Trey Miguel winning in a landslide by 60 votes. It was pointed out that there weren’t even 60 people there, so Santino sensed suspicious shenanigans. Ace Austin came in second. Santino remedied the situation for a #1 contender match next week between Trey and Ace.

In the Knockouts tag team division, Jody Threat & Dani Luna will defend the belts against the new tag team of Masha Slamovich & Alisha Edwards. Slamovich is cashing in her contractual rematch without Killer Kelly. This story was not touched on during the Impact television show.

The current lineup for Under Siege on May 3 includes:

  • Matt Hardy, Mike Bailey, & Trent Seven vs. Moose, Brian Myers, & Eddie Edwards
  • Jordynne Grace & PCO vs. Steph De Lander & Big Kon
  • X-Division Championship: Mustafa Ali (c) vs. TBD (Ace Austin or Trey Miguel)
  • Jake Something vs. Alexander Hammerstone
  • Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Jody Threat & Dani Luna (c) vs. Masha Slamovich & Alisha Edwards
