Title or no, Samoa Joe is a bad, bad man

We’ve only seen one Samoa Joe match since he dropped the AEW World title to Swerve Strickland at Dynasty, but his quick, convincing win over Private Party’s Isiah Kassidy last week on Dynamite did a great job quickly re-establishing his bad ass bonafides.

Not as good as this sub-one minute video package and promo from the May 8 episode did, though.

There’s a lot of talk about “bars” these days, but this is top notch lyricism from Joe:

What drives a warrior to do what he does?
A lot of people would think that it’s ambition,
that it’s a need to conquest. No.
What drives a warrior is fear.
Fear of being left wanting.
Fear of not being good enough.
Fear of meeting an opponent that you cannot surmount.
Many people will tell you that these are the qualities that make up a warrior,
And that I am one of these men.
But you would be mistaken.
For I am not the warrior that fears.
I am what these men fear in the first place.

Hell yeah. Now get this fear-inducing warrior a meaningful program pronto.
