Streamplify Review: Best Budget Streaming Brand for New Creators

on

Streamplify is a lesser-known brand in the streaming space but has a fantastic line-up worth perusing. I recently tested a streaming bundle from Streamplify that consisted of a microphone (with boom arm), an HD camera, and two lighting solutions. If you’re a budding creator with a tighter budget, this Streamplify review might just be the sway you need to invest in a package. It might be a provider that boasts lower price tags, but there’s plenty of value in what’s on the market from Streamplify.

Read on to learn what you need to know about the brand and get neck-deep in this short but sweet Streamplify review.

What Does Streamplify Offer?

For new streamers looking for the best starter kit, Streamplify is a one-stop shop for everything you need. There’s a 1080p camera, an RGB USB microphone (with a cardioid pickup pattern), attractive USB hubs, mounts, and various lights. Everything is well-built and practical, but the most attractive thing about Streamplify is how much these products cost. When sat alongside competing products, Streamplify looks good and performs well, but it’s those price points that’ll really pull you in.

Here are some examples (prices correct at time of publishing):

  • Streamplify CAM: £52.99
  • Streamplify MIC with Mount: £69.95
  • Streamplify GLOW Light: £79.99

Is Streamplify Good?

Let’s get into the core of this Streamplify review with a basic question: is the brand any good?

The first thing I tested was the USB CAM, a 1080p, 60 FPS webcam with a slew of features of ranging from autofocus to a built-in sliding lens cover. It’s a versatile device that can tilt and pivot as needed, and with a wide-angle lens, it captures everything you need it to see. If you’re building a top streaming setup with a good backdrop, this camera is perfect for capturing it all. This camera has fantastic picture quality and is plug-and-play out of the box, making it perfect for newcomers.

Next, I gave the MIC a run and was immediately surprised but the value for money here. In the box were the microphone, cables, a pop filter, and a boom arm-style mount. Everything felt sturdy and reliable, and the microphone is smaller than its immediate competitors but looks more attractive at first blush. The RGB is a nice touch, and like the CAM, it’s a plug-and-play solution. It’s a cardioid mic that effectively blocks out background noise – which I tested – and it boasts a 48kHz sample rate for smooth recordings.

I’ll be honest – the sound quality won’t win any awards, but if you’re just getting started as a streamer, it’s more than enough for what you’ll need.

In terms of lighting, I set up the Glow Light 14 and the Light 10 – a smaller ring light – and took them for a test drive. The Glow Light 14 is probably the most valuable part of the lineup. It’s an incredible light that’s super customisable, boasting a remote control and a touch panel that lets you tweak the lighting to suit your circumstances. It can light up a streaming setup of any size, and the included desk clamp is low profile and very easy to assemble.

Should New Streamers Use Streamplify?

If you’re just getting started with content creation, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better all-in-one solution than Streamplify. At the press of a button, you can order a kit that comes with a camera, a microphone, and an advanced lighting solution – and don’t forget about the attractive, RGB-lit USB hubs. It doesn’t matter whether you want to become a Warzone streamer or if you want to push out ‘cosy’ streams on quieter games, Streamplify is pretty perfect all around.

I’d recommend pairing this equipment with OBS for the simplest way forward. Everything is plug-and-play and requires no further software, and once you’ve connected these devices to your PC, they’ll appear as input sources in OBS. It’s the easiest way to get your stream setup running as quickly as possible.
